Not bitterness . . . resolve to keep America Great

The reaction of conservatives to the win by BHO is all pretty much what should be expected. Disappointment, anger, finger-pointing, dire warning, resolve, pledges to fight on, pledges to fight BHO's socialism, to fight democrats, etc. etc. Some have taken the low road ("not my president," "He'll get what Bush got") some have taken the high road (cautious optimism). My own range of emotions has run the gamut--and continues to fluctuate. It's like a death in the family--time heals (but not all wounds). I resolve to not be bitter. I resolve to keep optimistic about my personal / family life. I will not be bitter toward those who are happy about the BHO win; I will be quick (and stay sharp) on the draw with a well "There it is! You see . . . I told you so!" ( I hope that's not just being mean spirited). We NEED sharp debate more than ever. I appreciate the calls for calm and "working together"; but we have plenty of those who will be quick to defend BHO--we need loyal critics for democracy to work; there are too few such critics in the MSM these days. I resolve to pray for America -- still great -- to stay great; I fear it may not be the same country after the next four years but I will not work for it to fail. I don't want BHO's plans to succeed--I do want America to succeed. I have no where else to go--America is my country; I want it to stay good, strong, free -- I will do all I can to keep it so.
